Employer Partnerships

Employers recognize that investing in recovery makes sense from an economic and business perspective. Some 70 percent of the approximately 14.8 million Americans who use illegal drugs are employed, costing those employers an estimated $81 billion annually, according to the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Drugs in the Workplace.

We work to forge a strong recovery culture in Gwinnett County, providing outreach and recovery services in collaboration with local employers. The workplace is an ideal setting to offer such services, which foster prevention and help employees recover from addiction and remain a valuable part of the work force.

Navigate Recovery Gwinnett’s employer partnerships allow organizations—private, public, nonprofit and faith-based—to provide an employee assistance program specifically geared toward addiction. We educate managers, human resources professionals and employees on how to recognize the symptoms of addiction, its effects on productivity and safety and how to make the workplace safer by encouraging sufferers to seek help. Employers not only support their employees and affected family members through their partnership with Navigate Recovery, but also foster positive employee relationships, which are proven to increase productivity, reduce insurance costs and improve loss prevention.
