We can’t wait any longer…
Our nation and our community is in the grip of a national crisis – an unprecedented surge in addiction and mental health issues. The national data on overdose deaths are startling: in 2014, there were more than 27,000 overdose deaths involving prescription opioid medications and/or heroin. That is equivalent to one death every 20 minutes nationally.
It’s time to take action…
Gwinnett county has experienced a dramatic increase of 53% in opioid related deaths from 2014 to 2015. Surrounding counties are having similar experiences as counterfeit drugs laced with deadly Fentanyl are killing our youth and destroying families.
Join us for this important discussion…
Our community leaders and stakeholders are asking you to JOIN US in a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Summit to begin a much needed discussion as we formulate a plan to address this deadly crisis. Expect the conversation to be frank, honest and open as we collaborate to create a coordinated response.
